The city's “smart” initiatives began in 2015. The current use of sensors for pollution monitoring, but also the application of smart technologies in the construction and waste management sector and the numerous educational campaigns promoted by the city, have favored the achievement of the following objectives:

In the project carried out by the city “Hong Kong Smart City Blueprint are involved initiatives of: Smart Mobility, Smart Living, Smart Environment, Smart People, Smart Government and Smart Economy.
